There he received over 1050 supervised hours of classroom training encompassing various bodywork modalities, applicable anatomy and physiology topics, and supporting psychosocial concerns. Her work with chiropractors and with many athletic clients in her private practice led her to study Neuromuscular Therapy as a mode of helping clients recovering from impacts, sports injuries, and repetitive stress related injuries. Her passion for body work as a method of helping her clients find ease of movement in their bodies and in their lives led Dawn to study the Rolfing method of Structural Integration at the Rolf Institute here in Boulder. Dawn is also a Reiki Master, and has an integrated approach to body work. She enjoys bringing all of her knowledge and experience to each session, structuring each session according to the individual client’s unique conditions, limitations, and needs.
A Rolfing client of Dawn's states, "Re-starting training was difficult and painful after a long season of racing. After a couple of months of yoga, stretching, and regular massage in the off season, I still had residual post-Ironman aches. It only took a few Rolfing sessions before I began to feel better running, cycling and swimming. During the entire Rolfing series I could feel the progression of improved alignment, mobility and a return of strength reflected in my training workouts. My post-Rolfing race season has been great so far and I couldn't have done it with out Dawn!"
Whether you are seeking a deeply relaxing massage, recovering from an injury, or seeking a deeper level of structural re-alignment, Dawn is able to work with your individual goals and together create a session or series of sessions to suit you. | back to top |

Kate Mahoney
|
| Kate first discovered her passion for alternative therapies shortly after she moved to the Boulder area from Virginia in 1994. Having come from a background heavily influenced by Western Medicine and having suffered from her own health issues, Kate found that simple lifestyle changes and bodywork provided more relief than painkillers and heartburn medication. She has since become an avid reader of all books having to do with health and nutrition. She finally decided to study massage in addition to her personal study of nutrition, and she graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2002. Since graduation Kate has worked with sports medicine and chiropractic clients, as well as at a popular spa in Steamboat Springs, CO. But Boulder keeps calling her back.
Kate’s work is a combination of several different modalities, providing a massage that is both therapeutic and extremely relaxing. Taking techniques from Swedish, deep tissue, orthopedic, myofascial release, and sports massage, then adding energy work from shiatsu, polarity therapy, and integrative massage, Kate has developed her own style that is as unique as it is effective. She likes to combine deeper techniques that really get the blood flowing with subtle, gentle techniques that allow the body to relax. Also, Kate prides herself on her ability to tune into her client’s tissues and feel the minute changes that occur there, enabling her to respond to the body rather than intruding on it. Each of Kate’s sessions is individually tailored to meet the client’s needs. | back to top |

Lawrence Rincon
|
| Lawrence Rincon is a Certified Advanced Rolfer™ with 1700 hours of training in structural integration + 3000 clinical hours of bodywork. He specializes in treating chronic pain – spine, cervical, TMJ, repetitive use strains, joint, post-surgical, and visceral issues related to structure. In addition to his technical skills, clients also value his ability to create a nurturing session.
Structural Integration ~ Rolfing® is the art and science of inviting the body toward a more natural state of alignment, posture, and inherent movement. The medium for this change is an exploration of perception, coordination, and the body’s connective tissue. This soft skeleton can be gently reorganized around the core, freeing the body as it comes into balance with gravity. But it’s our habitual patterns of perception and coordination that neurologically return us to our posture. Rehabilitating these patterns, often main contributors to chronic pain, offers the client a powerful tool for their own healing. The work is particularly useful for anyone who is feeling “off” because of unresolved accidents, operations, or years of repetitive work and neglect.
Lawrence has assisted classes for the Brazil Rolfing association and enjoys yoga, cycling, running, dancing and moving for a good cause- biking 585 miles for the California AIDS Ride, 200 miles for the Multiple Sclerosis Society bike tour, and participating in the Bolder Boulder 3 years running. | back to top |

Stefanie Pitthan-Garcia
|
| Stefanie went to the Connecting Point School of Massage Therapy in Telluride, CO, six years ago. Stefanie believes that the body needs to be supported and treated well to create greater ease, harmony, and happiness in our lives.
Stefanie has always had a passion for understanding how the body moves and how it can do so more efficiently and joyfully, which led her to study movement-based theater in college. This background, coupled with her intuition, has provided a strong foundation for her bodywork, which she has built upon with training in ortho-neuro evaluation, anatomy, meridian therapy, cranio-sacral, tui-na, Swedish, and more. She enjoys drawing on many modalities, blending and incorporating the necessary techniques. She likes to work deep into the connective tissue, finding trigger points and bringing the body back into balance. One of her gifts is to find areas that need work and to intuit what the body needs in order to let go (e.g., how much pressure to give).
Stefanie has been studying Oriental medicine, acupuncture, and herbology since 2003, but is on hiatus to take care of her new baby girl. She has studied yoga intensively, as well as different modalities of esoteric healing and meditation. Her hobbies include hiking with her baby, cooking and painting. Since leaving home she has lived in San Diego, Seattle, Santa Fe, Telluride, and Boulder, and she loves the southwest. | back to top |
